A Letter from Robin (Breeze) Jingjit & Family

Dear Faith Community Friends,

It seems hard to believe that I left the United States to teach in Thailand “just for two years” over 12 years ago.  I am so blessed to be a part of a wonderful Christian International school (International Community School in Bangkok) where I can use my gifts and have opportunities to share the gospel with my students daily.  My “two year” plan has transformed into a beautiful life in Thailand- one where I will be happy to continue serving for as long as God allows me to.

After ten years of teaching at my current school, I have been granted a one-year sabbatical from teaching, for the purpose of rest and reconnection with my stateside family.  I will also have the honor and joy of introducing my husband and our sons to life in the United States and my American culture.

God has opened many doors to make this year possible for us, and we have already been blessed with a place to stay for most of the year!  My Nana has opened her home to us in beautiful Carmel, California.  Besides the idyllic location, this blessing is particularly personal and sweet, as it will allow my sons to attend the same elementary school that my mom and Nana attended when they were young.  We are also looking forward to spending some time in Washington State, as well, reconnecting with the church community, friends and family there this summer.

As you can imagine, sabbaticals, like a missionary’s home assignment, are an important part of keeping teachers overseas long-term. However, unlike a church-sent missionary, we don’t have a built-in group of supporters to help us financially during this year.  While teaching at ICS Bangkok, God has allowed me to be a tent-maker - to serve Him while also providing for my family, as well.  During this sabbatical, I will be receiving a reduced salary, but because the cost of living in the United States is so much higher than in Thailand, we will be depending on God to continue to provide for us.

Would you consider blessing my family and the ministry I am a part of by supporting us financially during this season?  God willing, we will be in the United States from June of 2016 until July of 2017.  If you would consider committing to monthly support or blessing us with a one-time gift, please don’t hesitate to contact me at with any questions you have.

Because I do not have a sending church, your gift would be made to me directly. This is not the same as a tax-deductible donation to a church.  If you are led to give, there are a few options. I hope there is a way that is convenient for everyone.

You can send a check made out to Robin Jingjit to the following address:

Robin Jingjit PO Box 395, Carmel, CA 93921.

For the tech-savvy, you can also deposit directly to my Chase bank account with quickpay if your bank is a member of the clearXchange network.   I am also looking into paypal as an option.

Thank you for being a part of this blessing in our lives!  I look forward to visiting this summer and reconnecting with all of you. I believe God will use this time to refresh us and remind us of His lovingkindness toward us.
